Gluvna Shimo Hromada

On April 3, 2017, our Heavenly Father took Dorothy Pauline Jalowiec (nee Gorski) at the age of 89 to join her husband Bernie Jalowiec. Dorothy was the beloved mother of Nancy Mazur (Tom) and Karen Losh (Dennis). She was blessed with four grandchildren who adored her - Brian Losh (Michelle), Melissa Forouhar, Trisha Dougall (Kirk), and Shannon Mazur Smith (Graham). Dorothy also had great-grandchildren whom she loved very much including Jacob, Francesca, Ryan, Cole, Karina, Isabella, Aryana, Hailey, Zaria, Adrianna, and Thomas Boyd.

She is also survived by several siblings including Richard Gorski (Donna), Sandra Rich (John), and John Gorski (Carole). Her sister Jeanette Wnek (Eddie), as well as her parents John and Josephine Gorski, preceded her in death.

Dorothy was a proud member of St. Stanislaus Church and currently attended St. Peter Parish. She was a member of several civic organizations including the Jaycee Wives, Harborview Women's Club, and Lakeland Women's Club. She enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, and painting in her free time.; Dorothy also frequently helped her husband, Bernie, at Brentwood Golf Club in Grafton, which they previously owned.

As much as she enjoyed her civic work, none of that compared to how much she loved her family and how proud she was of them. Family always came first. Dorothy was so caring, so kind, and so giving to all of her family and friends. She could always put a smile on one's face. All of Dorothy's family will miss her very much, for she truly was the light of their lives. Their lives will never be the same without her.
