Nina Hattie “Mamaw” Harrison (nee Ferrebee), age 74, of Lorain, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, in the early morning hours of Sunday September 17, 2017 following a seventeen day illness. She was born in Roane County, West Virginia on July 25, 1943 and had been a long-time resident of Lorain.

Nina was an active member of the New Hope Apostolic Church in Lagrange. Faith and religion were extremely important to her as evidenced by her forty-three years of church-related work. She was a volunteer at the A.L.J.C. Church Camp and also worked in the country store there. When not involved in church activities she enjoyed making candy and holding yard sales.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years Patrick Lee Harrison, Sr., and son Patrick Lee Harrison, Jr. (Donna) residing in Oregon, Ohio. In addition, she leaves “grandchildren” Salathia, Aviana, Princeton, Tony, Alaina, Lincoln, and Ford along with her brother Lee “Bud” Ferrebee of Nebraska and sister-in-law Shirley Harold of West Virginia; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved and cherished.

Nina was preceded in death by her parents Aubrey “Perk” and Meta Marie (nee McClain) Ferrebee, brothers Paul Harold, Isaac (in infancy), John, Lawrence, and Larry Ferrebee, along with sisters Annie Lou Lyons, and Carolyn Ferrebee.

Nina’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Laura Samples for the loving care and compassion that she provided.
