Christina M. Reiber (nee Cavallo), 52, of Lorain, died Friday May 25, 2018 at University Hospital in Cleveland.

She was born November 10, 1965 in Amherst and had been a lifelong Amherst and Lorain resident.

Chris graduated from Lorain Catholic High School in 1984 and attended the Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster.

She worked in sales for over 10 years and was recently employed at Pat O’Brien Chevrolet in Vermilion.

Chris had a great love for the outdoors especially plant life and water.  She loved horses and other animals and grooming pets.  She served as a Girl Scout troop leader for her daughters and was a member of the Vermilion Business and Professional Women.

For over 8 years, Chris was a proud supporter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and also participated in the Relay for Life for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 5 years Chris Reiber; daughters: Randi Bukovac and Karli Bukovac, both of Amherst; parents Larry “Rocco” & Lois Cavallo of Lorain; brothers: Larry (Marla) Cavallo Jr of Ft Worth, Texas and Nicholas (Alexandria) Cavallo of Amherst; stepdaughters: Breanna Reiber of Columbus and Hannah Reiber of Ashland; mother-in-law Barbara Castner and her husband Paul, many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and her cat Ellie and dog Tasha.  She was preceded in death by her brothers Randy and Raymond Cavallo and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Funeral Schedule

The family will receive friends Tuesday May 29th from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain.   A memorial service will follow on Tuesday at 8:00 pm.  Private burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
