Rosalyn M. “Rosie” Weese, (nee Williams), age 78 of Sheffield Township, matriarch and owner of Rosie’s Family Restaurant, passed away unexpectedly at University Hospitals St. John Medical Center in Westlake during the early morning hours of Monday November 16th, 2020.

Born in Cleveland on October 28, 1942, Rosie had been a resident of Sheffield Township for the past two years; she had previously lived in Lorain.

In 1998 she realized her life-long dream by opening Rosie’s Family Restaurant in Sheffield Township; through hard work, dedication, a diverse menu, and a warm and hospitable personality, she successfully built the North Ridge Road establishment into one of the area’s favorite eateries.

On those rare occasions when she wasn’t found greeting patrons at the restaurant, she enjoyed tackling home projects. Rosie possessed a high level of skill in the field of upholstery and also displayed a flair for interior decorating and design.

She is survived by her husband of two years Babe, daughters Merri Beth Rogers, Katherine Rogers, Rebecca Ceja (Joe), Nancy Archer, (Larry), Teresa Pinta, and Cindy Weese, along with sons Eric Pinta, William J. Rogers, Jr. (Kristina), Charles Paul Rogers (Diane), and Daniel Joseph Rogers (Crystal). She also leaves thirty-three grandchildren, and seventy-seven great grandchildren.

Rosie was preceded in death by her first husband Norman Fred Pinta, second husband William “Jack” Rogers, parents Eugene and Bertha (nee Herman) Williams, sister Jackie Heistand, and brother Butch Williams.
