David E. Peacock, age 59, of Lorain, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on the afternoon of Thursday March 25, 2021. Born in Lorain on March 21, 1962, he grew up in Vermilion and was a 1980 graduate of Vermilion High School. He had been a resident of Lorain since 2000.

Following graduation, he attended The Rec W Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, Ohio where he studied recording, sound mixing, and audio production

At the time of his passing, David was employed as a production assistant at Autocam N.N., Inc in Wellington. Previously, he had worked as a project materials coordinator for Butchko Electric.

He was a talented and accomplished craftsman who built a wide variety of items ranging from the most simplistic to the most exacting. His family and friends often commented that there wasn’t anything that David could not build, repair, or re-engineer to become better. In his free time he enjoyed home remodeling projects and riding his mini bike. He also took great comfort in his ability to help others.

In addition, David served as a speaker and mentor for a forum initiated by the City of Lorain to assist people in coping with unemployment and their subsequent re-entry into the work environment. He received high praise from city administrators for his ability to reach his audience and direct them in a more positive direction.

Survivors include his son Adam residing in Winterville, North Carolina, his mother Lorraine Peacock (nee Blasiak) of Lorain, sisters Ann Lubick of St. Cloud, Florida, and Deborah Price (Ronald) of Lorain, along with brothers Steven F. Peacock of Lorain, and Karl Peacock (DeAnna) of Amherst. He also leaves his cherished nine-month old pet German Shepherd, Beau.

David was preceded in death by his daughter Kayla, father Stephen H. Peacock, brother Harleigh Peacock, III, and nephew Tyler Peacock.
