Franklin J. “Lesh” Leshinski, age 84, of Lorain, passed away at Fairview Hospital on Thursday November 30, 2017. Born in Lorain on January 16, 1933, he had been a life-long resident of the city.

Mr. Leshinski was a veteran of the United States Army where he served during the Korean Conflict. He fulfilled duty assignments as a Private First Class assigned to the 2128th Administrative Service Unit

He was a forty-five year employee of the Columbia Gas Company; at the time of his retirement, Frank served as a dispatcher there.

A life-long parishioner of Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church in Lorain, Frank was widely known as being a “people person”. He enjoyed watching televised high school and college football games in his free time as well as exploring the many fine eateries in and around greater Lorain.

He is survived by his wife of 59 ½ years Bertha “Bert” (nee Ryan)  along with brothers Stanley and Allen both of Lorain, sister Marcella Grumbos also of Lorain, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents Ignatius and Wanda (nee Habant) Leshinski, by brothers Edward and John, and sisters Virginia Kudlo, Frances Brumback, Irene Racz, Marian Hughes, Theresa Sorok, Florence Horinek, Lucille Waldecki, and Dorothy Majer.
