Junior Bradford Haller, 89, of Sheffield Township, died Sunday January 6, 2019.

He was born October 13, 1929 in Grafton, West Virginia and had resided in Sheffield Township over 60 years.

Junior served with the US Marine Corps as a military policeman and was stationed in Puerto Rico.

He worked at US Steel in Lorain in the BOP Shop as a Crane Operator for over 30 years before retiring.  Later, he picked apples at Rex Lees Orchard for many years.

Junior was very well liked by his neighbors and was willing to lend a hand to anyone and never expected anything in return.  He had a great sense of humor, loved putting a smile on people’s faces and was known to pull pranks and jokes on his friends.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and bowling.

He is survived by his children: Carole Bare of Amherst, Maureen Payne of Lorain, Rebecca Haller of Elyria Township, Tracy Lewis of Amherst, Juanita Hardy of Elyria Township and Curtis Haller (Margie Nichols) of Lorain; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years JoAnn Haller (nee Lautner) on March 2, 2015, parents Henry and Bessie Haller (nee Workman), son-in-law Jerry L. Bare in 2011, sisters Mary Shaffer and Helen Haller and brothers Ray Haller and Ernest Haller.
