Richard J. “Rich” Frcka, age 65, of Sullivan, passed away at Wooster Community Hospital on Tuesday December 8, 2020 following an extended illness. Rich was born in Lorain on October 6, 1955 and had been a resident of Sullivan for the past thirty-one years; he had previously lived in Amherst.

He was a graduate of Marion L. Steel High School where he was a varsity letterman on the Comet football and wrestling teams.

Prior to his retirement, Rich was employed as a machinist for Nordson Corporation in Amherst.

A member of the Sullivan Christian Church, he enjoyed attending auctions and garage sales in his free time; in addition, he was well known for his mastery of arcade claw machines winning countless prizes for relatives and friends.

Family was an extremely important commodity to Rich and he never missed an opportunity to attend the extracurricular activities of his children and grandchildren. He also made certain that everyone in his life was well-fed; nobody ever left his company with an empty stomach.

He is survived by daughters Tina Foley (Thomas) of Ashland, Tammy Barnett of Norwalk, and Adrianne Boyd of Ashland along with his son Richard A. Frcka (Dana) of Ashland. He also leaves grandchildren Alysa, Tessa, Laila, Addison, Thomas, Andrew, Vincent, Anthony, Andre, and Austin, along with brothers Jeff Frcka (Tracey), Joe Frcka (Margaret), and Paul Frcka (Beth), sisters Kathy Mitchell and Andrea Frcka, and countless other acquaintances that he regarded as part of his extended family.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents Andrew J. and Vivian (nee Pruitt) Frcka, three grandchildren including Bozena Foley, and his best friend and partner in crime Lee Boyd.
