Sandra Bahn, age 70, of Lorain, passed away peacefully at her residence during the early morning hours on Sunday July 4, 2021. Born in Lorain on March 9, 1951, Sandy remained a life-long resident of the city; she attended Admiral King High School.

After raising her family, she began working for the Lorain City School System as a cafeteria aid. Later, she was employed as a packer for the Quebcor Printing Company in Oberlin.

A parishioner of St. Peter Parish, Sandy was a woman of deep faith and attended Mass on a daily basis. She was also proud to have shaken the hand of Pope John Paul II.

While in high school, she was a member of the Fire Flies drill team. She later became a member of the PLAV and Canadian Legion Drill Teams leading to participation and competition at numerous events along Ohio’s north coast. Sandy was also a member of the Columbia Club at Knights of Columbus Council 637 and Canadian Legion Chapter 266.

She was regarded as a dedicated and devoted shopper by all who knew her; her astute skills earned her the nickname of “the deal seeker” by vendors and merchants at Jamie’s flea Market.

Sandy leaves daughters Melissa Roman of Avon and April Garza (Jim) of Columbia Station, along with son Edwin Roman (Denise) of Lorain. Additional survivors include grandchildren Amber, Jacob, Joseph and Alyssa, great grandchildren Jessica and Aiden, and brother Terrence “Chip” Bahn residing in Huron.

She was preceded in death by her mother Nellie Bahn (nee Dudukovich) in 2001, father Julius Bahn in early 2021, brother Gerald Bahn in 2017, and one sister in infancy.
